You will add a substantial part to the proposal, specifically the Literature review section. You will add 10 pages. Please follow the comments within the Proposal. There are comments in the proposal with regards to the proposal being short on the literature review section. I will add them below as well. Also, based on the comments from the instructor please revise edit or add what is necessary based on the intstructors comments and highlight in yellow all changes edits and changes made. Thank you. See below: Use headings from the Qualitative Checklist (QC). There are only 4 pages here – I don’t think this is enough for any of the programs in psychology. In forensic psychology, which isn’t really a strict program, the minimum for the lit review is 20 pages! I realize the problem with research just about volunteers and religiosity, spirituality. You can solve this problem by broadening the literature review. By this I mean, include other related topics about volunteering, as you did back in your prospectus before going to the short form. Below, off the top of my head, I have put a draft of a possible outline. Typically in an academic lit review, I start broad and move to more specific topics directly linked to my proposed topic. So: I) Volunteerism A) Definitions B) Prevalence (numbers of volunteers) C) Types of settings in which there are volunteers D) Motivating factors or contributing conditions for people to volunteer I) Volunteers in the Corporate or Private sector Describe what we know from research I) Volunteers in Faith-Based Organizations Describe what we know from research I) Influence of Religiosity and Spirituality Faith-based Volunteers I) Links Between Scholarly Content and Research Questions – Note that this discussion is required in the Qualitative Checklist at the end of chapter 2.
