Life Span Analysis – Guidelines
For the life span analysis paper, interview a person in either older adulthood (65-74 years) or late adulthood (75 years and older) and write an analysis of their experiences.
Paper Requirements
The interview paper is comprised of a title page, introduction, analysis section, discussion section, and references page. The paper is to be formatted using Times New Roman 12-point font, double-spacing throughout, and 1-inch margins all around. The final draft will be about 6 pages, excluding the title page and references page.
INTRODUCTION: Name the interviewee (first name only; you may use a pseudonym), and report their basic demographic information (age, gender, race/ethnicity, occupation, etc.). In addition, report when and how the interview was conducted, that is, via Zoom, phone, etc.
ANALYSIS: The following six subsections of the analysis are based on the textbook chapters:
Personality
Cognitive Abilities
Physical Changes and Health
Social Roles, Social Relationships, and Work and Retirement
Stress, Coping, and Resilience
Meaning of Life
In each subsection of the analysis, do not just summarize the interview material: integrate concepts, ideas, and terms from the textbook. Also, describe the influence of historical events and cohort effects on adult development.
DISCUSSION: First, briefly summarize key highlights of your analysis (do not restate all the specific details). Next, reflect on your main takeaways (insights, lessons learned, etc.) from the interview and your analysis. Lastly, leave the reader with a final message, such as a new understanding or a specific recommendation.
I will down load the template to follow  and also notes to read through but the assignment is mostly based on the person who is 75 years or older .
